Wayne Dozier

Wayne is a 1982 graduate of Weatherford High School. He received his undergraduate degree in 1987 and his graduate degree in 1988 from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Wayne coached for 32 years in Oklahoma: Weatherford (3), Guthrie (2) and Carl Albert (27). Wayne is the former President of the Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association and a Board Member for the Oklahoma Coaches Association. He is a member of both the Oklahoma Coaches Association and Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fames. During his time at Carl Albert, Wayne was either the head coach or an assistant coach on 22 state finalist teams with 18 of those teams winning a state championship. Wayne is married to Grace, who is a teacher at Carl Albert High School. They have two sons; Keyton and Braxton.

Eddie Paul

Eddie is a 1968 graduate of Walters High School, where he was a state champion in the shot put and discus. He then attended Oklahoma State University on a football scholarship and lettered as a sophomore before moving on to play football at, and graduating from, Cameron University in 1973. Eddie coached a combined 48 years in Oklahoma and Texas: Clinton(3), Enid(1), Velma-Alma(2), Yukon(1), Woodward(7), Lindsay(4), Woodward (2), Plainview in Ardmore(9), DeSoto, TX(5), Azle, TX(3), Bethel in Shawnee(2), Norman North(3), Southridge JH in Moore(5), and Moore HS(1). Eddie is a former president of the Oklahoma Football Coaches Association and the Oklahoma Coaches Association. He is a member of the OCA Hall of Fame. Eddie and his wife, Cindy, a retired elementary teacher, have been married over fifty years. Their daughter Kelli is an administrator in the Oklahoma City Public Schools system and their son, Jason, coaches and teaches at Moore High School. They have five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Jerry Havens

Jerry is a 1960 graduate of Cordell High School and a 1965 graduate of Panhandle A&M University.  He has a Masters of Education Degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.  Jerry coached for 38 years.  Twenty-six of those years were in Oklahoma:  Mangum(1), Clinton(3), Shawnee(7), Marlow(2), and Stillwater(12).  Jerry finished his coaching career in Texas, coaching at Lewisville High School for 12 years.  Jerry has been inducted in the Oklahoma Coaches Association Hall of Fame, the Oklahoma Basketball Coaches Hall of Fame and the National high School coaches Association Hall of Fame.  Jerry and his wife, Susan, a school administrator, retired in 2005 and moved back to Shawnee where they now reside.  They have two sons who are both in the college coaching profession: Ja and wife Angie and Jon plus three grandchildren.  Jerry has worked for the OCA since 2006.

Strippy Biggers

Strippy is a 1959 graduate of Midwest City high school.  He holds a Bachelors Degree in Special Education (1964) and a Masters Degree in Secondary Administration (1980) from the University of Central Oklahoma.  Strippy spent thirty years at Carl Albert High School as a teacher, coach and athletic director.  He is a forty-six-year member of the Oklahoma Coaches Association and served two terms on the OCA Executive Board.  He has worked at the OCA since 1984 and was inducted into the OCA Hall of Fame in 1997.   Strippy has been involved with Special Olympics Oklahoma for twenty years.  He is the Track Director and serves on the Executive Board.  Strippy and his wife, Tommie, have two children; James (deceased) and Julie and her husband Scott Moore plus two grandchildren.

Lea Mouss has been the Administrative Assistant / Office Manager for the Oklahoma Coaches Association for 10 years.

Lenny Hatchett
Marketing and Social Media Coordinator


Lenny is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma. He has a bachelor degree in Physical Education. He is a member of the OBCA for more than 25 years and currently serves as the Region Rep. Coach Lenny Hatchett, has over 26 years of coaching experience, 20 years as a head coach. After playing basketball at Phillips University in Enid, OK, Coach Hatchett became the Assistant Basketball Coach at his High School Alma Mater, Carl Albert. In 2004, Coach Hatchett went on to be head coach and soon-after athletic director at Mount St. Mary’s Catholic High School where his team made 3 State Tournament appearances. After his successful run at Mount St. Mary’s, Coach Hatchett lead the Edmond Santa Fe’s Boys’ Basketball to be 6A State Runner-Up in 2015. Currently, Coach Hatchett is the head basketball coach for Del City High School where he has led his team to the state tournament for 7 years in a row, winning the 5A state championship 2023, 6A State Championship 2021 runner-up titles in 2019 and 2022. He led the Del City Eagles to a 24-1 record, ranked #1 in 2020 and named Coach of the Year by the Daily Oklahoma 2020 and 2021.  He was named the National Federation High School Sports Coach of the Year in 2021, along with District 8 Coach of the Year in 2021,2023. 

Lenny Hatchett is married to Ceclia Hatchett and together they have two children Meliah and Liam.
